Webb's Hotel presents a mixed experience, with some recent reviews praising cleanliness, staff friendliness, and pet-friendly policies. However, recurring concerns about outdated rooms, cleanliness issues (dirt, grime, and maintenance problems), and malfunctioning amenities significantly detract from the overall experience. The property appears to be undergoing renovations, but these are not yet consistently reflected in guest feedback.
We rolled in way after late check in and things weren't perfect. Neither were we. There are a million ways that anybody can pick apart a hotel, but I decided to look on the bright side. We got a room at the last minute, the bed was big and pretty cozy! The jacuzzi didn't work, but I didn't even know there was a jacuzzi, and the shower worked great with a lot of room and a lot of hot water so I am grateful for this aging beacon of a slightly overpriced temporary domocile! Support small business and keep the town alive! Perfect for the road weary traveller!
Stayed at Webb Inn over the 4th of July! Rooms were dirty and needed to be updated! Back door was left open with a piece of wood because ice maker was leaking! Security ? Shower had rust on the bottom. Non smoking rooms reeked of smoke! People were living at Webb Inn full time ? Rate this hotel a 2 out of 10! Never staying there again.
The room had been updated and was fine. We paid extra for the lake view, so had a nice balcony view of the lake. But, there was a disgustingly bright light over the balcony that couldn't be turned off, so we couldn't sit out after dark and enjoy the view. That ruined it for me. REALLY ruined it. I think that you should be able to control lights like that, I enjoy sitting in the dark. Oh and the mattress was like sleeping on a board, horrible. Thankfully there were two pillows, so had to lay on them to make it soft enough to "sleep". Don't bother with the 'breakfast', it was basically non-existent. Go to Tulip's Brunch house instead. I applaud the owner for trying to keep this tradition alive. I would go back if I could have a dark balcony, and bring a foam pad with me.
Such a wonderful staff! Pet friendly and affordable. Rooms tho under construction and renovations are still clean. Not a bad place to be this summer if your wanting to rent a boat and go out on the lake
My own personal experience has been absolutely wonderful. The staff make you feel welcome. The pool and hot tub are so relaxing and clean. I would recommend this hotel to everybody I know.
This Motel fit the “ looks are deceiving” quote. It really could be an adorable place to stay. The ladies who run the place are sincerely sweet BUT this place is just filthy ! The lobby & indoor pool are nice but the cleaning crew is lacking. Dirty mops stinky and sitting in the hallways YUCK ! ? The floor in our room was filthy, the sheets were full of someone else’s hair and dirt. They came and put new clean sheets on. We would have left but we needed to go to the DMV in the morning. The ice machine spits out calcium or some kind of hard deposits & I’m assuming it’s never been cleaned. Toilet runs all night, TV didn’t work, lamps don’t work, coffee machine in room didn’t work ???? $122 but honestly for $50 a night it’s not worth it. Such a shame this could be such a gorgeous place ! My feet & socks were filthy from the floor. Just disgusting ?
Was not sure what to expect due to mixed reviews about safety and cleanliness. Here is my personal opinion (from a previous restaurant manager perspective) The hotel is being brought back to life under new ownership and is a work in progress, but was very clean and at no time did I feel unsafe at the location. Security doors at each entrance including the lobby entrance after 10 p.m. Plenty of lighting on balconies and lot. Being a dog friendly location was a bonus as we travel with 2 dogs, the policy was very reasonable. Large area to walk your pets. We opted for one of the hot tub rooms as we do a lot of hiking and need the soak! The room was very clean and we really enjoyed our fall evenings watching the lights on the lake across the road from our balcony. The bed was very comfortable. The pool, exercise room and hot tub were all in great condition. Breakfast is grab and go and limited but we did not mind, there are a few great restaurants not far from Webb's. The gift/candy shop and restaurant that used to be part of the resort are closed but are currently being sold. The manager, Kelly, was super friendly and went out of her way to make sure our stay was comfortable. Keep up the good work, We look forward to visiting again!!
