We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights in a lovely room! I usually awake multiple times during the night, but only once/night did I wake up during our stay. It was so comfortable and peaceful even over the 4th of July weekend. The breakfast Mark served each morning was delicious and he was so personable and willing to answer any questions we had. The atmosphere of the whole B&B was wonderful. Seeing the animals especially the horses was a highlight. My husband was only disappointed that he didn't see the donkey!

An ideal B&B for me. Wonderful historic home in great shape with large rooms, great common spaces, and a super comfortable bed. No silly frills and no weird promotions. The owners are highly intelligent and interesting and will engage as much as you want, but they are not at all intrusive.

Wonderful 1800s vintage farm property. Fantastic owner. Very interactive farm animals to feed, goats especially. Exquisite setting. Comfortable, impeccable rooms. Makes me want to visit again and again.

Mark and Sheila and the Great Tree are extraordinary. Our most recent stay was due to a difficult time for my family. Staying anywhere else in Mayville would have made it more difficult. The Great Tree was a refuge for us. Warm, welcoming, quiet, comfortable, intelligent conversation…and gourmet breakfasts.

Attended our first Longevity and Wellness Retreat here hosted by Danielle Pape. What a fantastic place! Mark and Sheila were fantastic! They took excellent care of our group and were very helpful and accommodating helping to make our retreat a wonderful success! Ophelia Pup was a BIG hit. She greeted us every morning with Mark and Sheila. Looking forward to visiting again soon ?
