We had a great stay at Pine Hill. We stayed in a patio efficiency, and it was lovely and clean, with a full kitchen. Great play area for kids, and nice view of the lake. Hope to be back next year!

Second stay at Pine Hill. First off, Dawn (office manager) is fantastic! We stayed in C1 for 2 nights with a family of flying squirrels. I kid you not! First night we were watching TV and one of the squirrels were watching us. Had to broom him out of the the cabin. The entire cabin stunk like animal and there was feces throughout. Second night: kept hearing scratching throughout the cabin walls and 5 squirrels came out in the living room with one flying through the cobwebbed ceiling beams. Called owner (Dennis) and he said he couldn't move us until morning. I explained that either he has to move us to another cabin or pay for a motel elsewhere. He finally moved us around 11pm to another cabin (C4). The next day the owner put traps in C1 because he thought the flying squirrels were "too cute" to exterminate. The docks were terrible and installed all wrong. First year we stayed, the docks were bad. Owner repaired this year and they were worse. If you have a nice boat, don't dock it here! Property not kept up, weeds growing through the decks of cabins (3 foot small trees). Last year, the couch in our cabin smelled like mold (C3) . Showers are moldy and water bugs come out on the floor every time we used the shower. Owner offered to "make it right" and thought he would at least refund us the night we had the squirrel problem. WRONG! It's been over 3 weeks now and nothing. We did let the office manager know that if we didn't get reimbursed for the one night, we would be posting a review. We stayed for 5 nights (was to be 7, but couldn't take it anymore). Guess the owner didn't care. Take your chances folks, you've been warned!

Couldn't ask for a more quiet simple and majestic place, tucked on the hillside of Chautauqua Lake. My son and I working in the area from out of town absolutely love ability to walk just down to the pier and toss in a line after a long day at work. Would like to give Dawn the front desk help, a great big THANK YOU. For her help and plethora of knowledge and information about the area. Will definitely be back in the future to stay here. For a simple vacation, for work, or just to get away for the weekend. An awesome and amazing place!

What a find!! First time staying and would definitely stay again. The owner and office manager were both friendly and helpful. We had a deck motel room with a view of the lake. Quiet and quaint. Was only planning to stay one night but decided to stay another since we were enjoying the peaceful setting. Highly recommend! Thanks again for a great stay.

Owner was very communicative and thoughtful. Since we were arriving after dark, she sent detailed instructions with map ahead of time, had the lights on and AC on to welcome us. The room was clean and air smelled fresh. Walls were all pine. Room was very quiet, except for the AC window unit. We would have looked to stay longer to enjoy the lake front, but didn't have much time in our schedule. Would absolutely go back again.
